Humane Society of the Pikes Region is the largest animal welfare group for homeless and abused animals in Southern Colorado. HSPPR is a local, independent nonprofit. As an open admission shelter, no animal is ever turned away. Passionate and dedicated staff care for animals in distress, provide medical care for abused and injured animals, reunite lost pets with their owners, find loving homes for homeless animals, and investigate animal cruelty and enforce animal ordinances.
Safe Place for Pets is a nonprofit pet placement organization that provides care, support and rehoming services for pets of terminally ill people. For more than 20 years, Safe Place for Pets has compassionately served pet owners diagnosed with terminal illnesses. They have found forever homes for thousands of pets while also providing needed veterinary care and support.
The Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center is one of very few sanctuaries in the United States which has been certified by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. With this title the CWWC are able to go beyond education and into application, actively participating in the Species Survival Program by providing a home to Mexican Grey Wolves and Swift Foxes.
The Cloud Foundation is dedicated to preventing the extinction of wild mustangs through education, media events and programming, and public involvement. They are also determined to protect other wild horse herds on public lands, especially isolated herds with unique characteristics and historical significance. As an organization, they care about the preservation of all wildlife, and public lands.
Drifter's Hearts of Hope is a non-profit organization committed to circumventing the horse-slaughter pipeline. Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome. DHOH continues to increase its reach and impact in the horse community. They've seen many of their rescues go to wonderful loving, forever homes, all through the efforts of the members and supporters of DHOH.

The Dumb Friends League Harmony Equine Center™ is a private rehabilitation and adoption facility for abused and neglected horses, ponies, donkeys and mules that have been removed from their owners by law enforcement authorities. Harmony also serves as a central hub where horses from humane societies and rescue groups in the Midwest and the southwestern United States can receive training and rehoming. In March 2018, Harmony began opening its doors to privately owned Colorado horses in need of rehoming.
All Breed Rescue & Training is a nonprofit dog rescue and training organization based in Colorado Springs. Since 1994, They’ve been rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever families for dogs deemed unadoptable and facing euthanasia. Their 98% adoption success rate proves that their positive reinforcement- and relationship-based training works. And they offer this training to the whole community - their many on-site, certified, trainers can help make any canine a happy member of your family, always.
CCDC is Colorado’s only statewide organization run by and for people with all types of disabilities. Members consist of people with disabilities and our non-disabled allies (coworkers, employers, family members, friends, and neighbors), all working together to support disability rights. Cross-disability means that we believe people with different types of disabilities have more in common than not and that we do best when we work together. We have the most power if all disability groups work together for a common good.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region has served the community since 1888. Their organization is also the oldest Club west of the Mississippi River and the eighth oldest Club of more than 4,300 worldwide. During its history, the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region has devoted itself to providing the youth of the Pikes Peak Region with a safe place to learn and grow. They operate two after-school youth development programs and four before & after school child care programs in the Pikes Peak Region, serving approximately 1,000 youth with nationally acclaimed programming.
